Opus Announces Promotion of Mike Yungerman to Vice President & General Manager of Chicago Region

​Opus is pleased to announce the recent promotion of Mike Yungerman to vice president & general manager, Opus Development Company, L.L.C., for the Chicago region. In this role, Mike is accountable for the leadership, development and overall management of the Chicago office and team, which includes associates in both Chicago and Milwaukee; active projects and pursuit of development opportunities in Illinois, Wisconsin and Michigan; and the definition and execution of current strategies and future growth plans for the region.

Mike brings over 23 years of commercial real estate experience to his new role, having completed more than 21 million square feet of industrial, office and medical projects throughout his career, valued at over $1 billion. He joined the Opus family of companies in 2005, and in the past 12 years has delivered numerous high-quality, cost-effective projects for a diverse client base including ConAgra Foods, HP, Maxzone Auto Parts and Renishaw, as well as multiple spec buildings including Gateway Logistics Center, Airwest 12 & 14, Rickenbacker 7 & 8, Minooka Ridge Business Center and many others.

Mike earned a B.S. in Construction Management from Western Illinois University and an M.B.A. in Real Estate Finance from the Kellstadt Graduate School of Business at De Paul University. He is an active member of NAIOP, Association of Industrial Real Estate Brokers and the Society of Industrial and Office Realtors.
