The Nic on Fifth®: A Leader in Downtown Residential Technology

3/17/2014

Thanks to smart technology being installed to provide service at the speed of now, The Nic on Fifth will be a leader in technology for residents when it opens this summer.

Apartment unit entry doors will have key fob access, Wi-Fi and internet access will be available in the common areas and 24-hour fitness on demand will be available in the state-of-the-art fitness studio.

USB outlets in each unit and fiber optic wiring throughout the building will increase the technology access for all residents. Touchscreen system control panels will be located throughout the amenity spaces to allow residents to easily control lights, TV, music, the fireplace, temperature and more.

Additionally, an I-Lounge, Building Link, online resident portal and Call Max will further add convenience through technology.

The I-Lounge will provide two iMac computers, printing capabilities and an open space for residents to work in the Club Room.

Building Link will take the convenience up a notch. Responding to the prevalence of online shopping, the system will track packages as they arrive for the residents. When a package arrives, a message will be displayed on a large screen in the mail room.

Connecting to the resident portal through The Nic on Fifth’s website, residents will be able to make rent payments and manage their account.

Additionally, the Call Max system will allow property managers to send emails and texts and call residents about requests, events, issues and more.

Before the building opens, leasing agents are using iPads and videos to give virtual tours of the building to potential residents and leases are being signed online.
