This is a unique development that includes a church for Our Lady of Hope parish and an office tower adjacent to the church on land purchased from the Archdiocese of Chicago. A 61-foot, three-sided campanile was erected on the west side of the chapel. The three sides of the bell tower represent the "three villages of Rosemont." The church interior has 47 rooms, including a sanctuary seating 350 people, a day-chapel for 50, a large community room, church offices, kitchen, sacristy and classrooms. A narthex separates the sanctuary and chapel from the remaining activities, while also serving as the parish living room. Entry into the sanctuary itself takes a spiral route, as the space unfolds and the ceiling rises to 51 feet over the altar. |
