Roundy's Distribution Center

This large distribution facility for Roundy’s is located on a 113-acre site at the southwest corner of State Highway 67 and County Highway DR in Oconomowoc, Wisconsin. The facility consists of 525,000 square feet of dry grocery, 474,000 square feet of temperature controlled warehouse, 80,000 square feet of office and service space, along with an additional  17,000 square-foot maintenance/fueling/washing building.

 

The facility has an 8” concrete slab-on-grade throughout the entire warehouse with typical bay sizes of 42’ x 59’.  Ceiling heights range from 34 feet in the temperature controlled warehouse to 37 feet in the dry storage area. The dock area has a 100-foot clear span with 131 exterior truck dock doors. Parking is provided for approximately 400 automobiles, with storage space for 364 semi-trailers.

 

Fire protection is provided by an ESFR sprinkler system in the dry storage area and an in-rack system in the temperature controlled area. The system is fed by a 350,000-gallon underground storage reservoir with an electric fire pump and diesel back-up pump.

 

The site has been designed to return and treat 100% of on-site rainfall within its stormwater quality ponds and infiltration beds.
