As Senior Vice President of Real Estate Development, Ben provides leadership and expertise and leads Opus’ national student living platform with a focus on the sourcing and pursuit of new development opportunities, upfront development feasibility studies, financial analysis, due diligence and entitlements while further providing managerial oversight throughout construction and project delivery.
Ben has over a decade of commercial real estate experience, most of which has been spent developing Class A mixed-use, urban infill assets. Prior to joining Opus in 2016, he served as executive vice president of development at Core Spaces, LLC, a national developer and asset manager specializing in private student housing. Ben also worked for notable firms such as McCaffery Interests, Inc. and Jones Lang LaSalle (now JLL).
Ben holds a Masters of Business Administration in real estate finance and investments from the DePaul University and a Bachelor of Science in construction management from Purdue University. He is a member of the DePaul Real Estate Alumni Alliance, Purdue Alumni Association and the National Multifamily Housing Council.
