As regional safety manager, Jessica is responsible for the implementation and oversight of the health and safety program for Opus’ self-performed work. She coordinates with each project team and serves as a safety resource before and after construction commences. She assists with preconstruction planning, project specific crisis management planning, project specific government agency safety consultations and project-wide safety meetings.

Jessica performs regularly scheduled project safety audits to detect existing or potential hazards, determines corrective or preventative measures and provides follow up to ensure corrective measures have been implemented. She works diligently with project managers, supervisors, subcontractors and safety professionals to encourage injury free projects.

She develops and implements programs to train associates at all levels within the organization in worksite safety practices. Jessica also develops safety training that is specific to the needs of each project.

Jessica joined Opus in 2017 as an accomplished safety professional with 16 years of experience in the construction industry. She received a Bachelor of Arts degree in construction management from the National Labor College and completed a cement masons apprenticeship. She is a certified Construction Health and Safety Technician, OSHA 510 Construction Outreach Trainer and OSHA Authorized Disaster Site Trainer.
