As Director of Environmental Risk, Richard is responsible for development and administration of corporate environmental risk management programs and goals, initiation of policies and procedures to comply with environmental regulations and industry practices and management of environmental risk, issues and due diligence processes.
Richard joined Opus in 2017. Prior to Opus, he worked for both large and small environmental consulting firms including Geomatrix Consultants and MACTEC Engineering and Consulting in the San Francisco Bay area, and Barr Engineering, ARCADIS and milepost12 (his own consulting firm) in Minnesota.
Richard holds a Master of Science in Hydrogeology and a Bachelor of Science in Geology from the University of Wisconsin. He is on the Minnesota Brownfields Board of Directors and recently termed off the City of Edina Energy and Environment Commission and Minnehaha Creek Watershed District.
