Christy Lewis Receives Women in Business Honor

5/25/2017

We’re proud to announce that Christy Lewis, director of business development for Opus Design Build, L.L.C., has been named to the Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal’s Women in Business 2017 class. The award honors women “for their professional achievements, leadership and contributions to the broader Twin Cities community.”

A proud Minnesota native, Christy has spent more than 20 years in business development, commercial sales and marketing roles that directly impact the economic growth of Minnesota and beyond. Building long term relationships has always been an integral part of Christy’s success and her “never give up or take no for an answer” attitude has proven successful time and time again.

Through hard work and the ability to connect with anyone, Christy has become a leading commercial real estate business development professional. With determination, curiosity and a proactive approach, she has developed relationships with hundreds of companies across the United States and has closed over $400 million worth of transactions.

Applying her expertise at Opus, Christy focuses primarily on Client Direct Services, or construction projects in which Opus Design Build applies its unique Opus DB³™ model directly, working with outside developers, architects and end users. Whether working directly with an owner or developer as the client, or engaging internal or external design resources, Christy effectively integrates all stakeholders—client, architect and builder—to prove why working as a single, multi-disciplinary team with meaningful collaboration elevates the client's project delivery experience and delivers results.

Christy was recently chosen to serve on the Board of EDAM and is also on its Member Services Committee. She co-chairs the Minnesota Commercial Real Estate Women’s (MNCREW) Member Engagement Committee and serves on CREW’s Industry Research Committee. In addition, Christy is actively involved and has served on a number of panels for industry trade organizations, including NAIOP, the Commercial Real Estate Development Association; MNCAR, Minnesota Commercial Association of Real Estate; IREM, Institute of Real Estate Management; MSCA, Minnesota Shopping Centers Association; CoreNet Global, the Global Association for Corporate Real Estate; and the Medical Alley Association.

Congrats, Christy!
