Lewis Named to EDAM Board

​Members of the Economic Development Association of Minnesota (EDAM) recently selected Christy Lewis, director of national business development for Opus Design Build, L.L.C., to serve on the 2017 EDAM Board of Directors for a two-year term.

Made up of leading economic development professionals, EDAM is a champion of economic development in Minnesota. Through professional development, networking and advocacy, it provides a forum for members to exchange information and stay abreast of current economic development strategies and practices. EDAM also consults with the State of Minnesota on public policy issues related to economic development, continually defining and improving the profession. The EDAM Board of Directors is responsible for contributing to the achievement of the organization’s mission, including but not limited to governing and leading by linking with members, creating policy and monitoring results.

A proud Minnesota native, Christy has spent more than 20 years in business development, commercial sales and marketing roles that directly impact the economic growth of Minnesota. She brings great value to the EDAM board, with solid leadership skills, a desire to make a difference and a vast network of deep relationships across the state.

In her role at Opus, Christy leads Opus’ business development strategy, building relationships with clients, consultants and industry stakeholders to support the company’s business objectives. Outside her daily responsibilities at Opus, Christy is deeply committed to building community and supporting the real estate industry in Minnesota and beyond. In addition to serving on the board of EDAM, she will serve on the EDAM Member Services Committee. She also co-chairs Minnesota Commercial Real Estate Women’s (MNCREW) Member Engagement Committee, and on a national level, serves on the Commercial Real Estate Women Network’s (CREW) Industry Research Committee.
