CHICAGO – The Opus Group (Opus) announced today the promotions of Bryan Farquhar and Matt Kurucz to senior manager, real estate development at Opus Development Company, L.L.C.

Bryan Farquhar
Bryan Farquhar joined Opus in 2013 and has more than eight years of development and brokerage experience. Farquhar’s strong brokerage relationships and negotiating skills have been instrumental in securing numerous development opportunities in the Chicago market, most recently working on multifamily developments totaling over 500 units and a large office build-to-suit. In his new role, Farquhar will manage development projects from inception to completion, including land procurement, entitlements, financing and joint venture coordination, construction and disposition. Farquhar holds a Bachelor of Arts and a Master of Business Administration in finance from Western Michigan University.
Matt Kurucz
Matt Kurucz has more than a decade of experience in real estate development. Since joining Opus in 2014, Kurucz has been responsible for identifying and executing industrial development opportunities in the Chicago market. Matt has been instrumental in several recent speculative industrial projects, including I-88 Gateway Logistics Center in North Aurora, Illinois and the Paragon Business Park in Romeoville, Illinois. Kurucz holds a Master of Business Administration and a Master of Science in real estate and construction management from the University of Denver Daniels College of Business and a Bachelor of Science in finance from the University of Colorado Boulder.
