Iowa Brings New Opportunities to Demonstrate our Expertise

With increased demand in multiple sectors, our portfolio in Iowa is growing.

Meeting Industrial Demand in Greater Des Moines

With industrial vacancy rates between 2-3% in the greater Des Moines area, we are creating more options through speculative development.

We recently broke ground on a 208,000-square-foot building in Ankeny, the first phase of our master planned Corporate Woods Industrial Park. This 50-acre site can accommodate up to three buildings totaling 600,000 square feet. Nearby, in Grimes, we recently began construction on Gateway Industrial Center, a 182,000-square-foot facility.

Offering premium locations for distribution and central access to the national highway system, both developments are located near Interstates 35 and 80. Construction on both projects will be completed this fall.

Providing Student Housing Options at Iowa State University

We’re wrapping up construction on The Foundry in Ames. This six-story, student housing development will be completed in August and all beds are 100% leased. Residents of the 53-unit building will enjoy luxury amenities and ground-level retail options across the street from campus.

Nearby on campus, construction is underway on an eight-story, 784-bed residence hall designed with study areas and gathering spaces to encourage learning and socializing. This will be the university’s first new residence hall in more than a decade.

This current work is just a portion of our growing portfolio in Iowa that also includes projects at Luther College, the Iowa National Guard AFRC Complex and the HP Warehouse and Distribution Center.
