KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Opus Design Build, L.L.C. announced today that it was awarded two contracts with Caymus Real Estate in the Kansas City market. Opus will build a new office building at Park Place in Leawood, Kan., and a grocery-anchored retail project at The Crossroads at Belton in Belton, Mo.
The Park Place office building will feature 42,000 square feet of office space on floors two and three and 13,000 square feet of first-floor retail. Opus Design Build, L.L.C. will design and construct the three-story building in the Park Place development. Park Place is a high-density, mixed-use project that includes office, retail, restaurants, structured parking and an Aloft hotel. The office building is slated for completion by December 2011.
The Crossroads at Belton retail center will include a 68,000-square-foot grocery store, 55,000 square feet for future retail and three pad sites. Opus Design Build, L.L.C will serve as general contractor for the project. Currently, the planned grocery store is scheduled to open in early 2012.
