DENVER, Colo. - Opus Design Build, L.L.C. announced today that it was awarded a contract by Oneida Cold Storage and Warehouse to build a 140,000-square-foot expansion at the company’s facility in Henderson, Colo.
A former Opus company built the original industrial facility for another organization and had been contracted by Oneida for other building expansions. Construction has commenced on this latest expansion, which will result in a 445,000-square-foot-facility, and is slated for completion in August 2011.
“Our teams have a depth of knowledge in this product type and have built thousands of square feet of cold storage facilities across the country,” said Jim Erwin, vice president of construction, Opus Design Build, L.L.C. “This facility is designed for long-term cold storage and must effectively maintain -20 degree temperatures. Our experience coupled with our network of highly-qualified subcontractors can accomplish this specific need.”
Opus recently completed a second building for University Physicians, Inc. and the 50,000-square-feet Lincoln Commons grocery-anchored center in Lone Tree, Colo.
