Putting ‘Design’ (and much more) in Design-Build: Introduction

9/23/2013

Under the Opus design-build approach our team works in collaboration with you and the balance of the project team using an integrated project delivery to transform your vision and project goals into a sustainable, functional and creative built environment.

Committed to meeting your needs and honoring budgets, our approach has four defining factors:

  1. Inspired Design: We begin by listening to understand your project goals and challenges. Working within these defined parameters we develop design solutions that capture your imagination and organizational culture while optimizing operational efficiency.
  2. Building Information Modeling (BIM): This technology is an integral part of our design process. It allows us to communicate design intent and develop a project solution that anticipates complexities and to coordinate project components. The goal is to help our client make informed decisions through the project process. Watch this video to learn more about how we’re using BIM.
  3. Sustainability: As a leader in sustainable development, our team has certified more than 40 LEED projects ranging from LEED Certified to LEED Gold. The Opus team has 40 LEED accredited professionals who are committed to sustainable design. LEED certified or not, sustainability is an integral part of our design process.
  4. People: Our team of architects, engineers and interior designers bring decades of experience to each project along with creativity, flexibility and innovation.

These defining factors drive our team to deliver new, fresh designs that achieve your goals.

Throughout this week I invite you to learn more about our architecture, structural engineering and interior design services from members of our team in a four-part blog series titled Putting ‘Design’ (and much more) in Design-Build.
