That’s a Wrap! Construction Complete on AMC's Theatre Support Center

10/9/2013

Our teams have been very busy this year building new corporate campuses for companies across the country. I am proud to announce the completion of the Theatre Support Center for American Multi-Cinema, Inc. (AMC) in Leawood, Kan.

Relocating from downtown Kansas City, Mo., the new office is located in the Park Place development in suburban Kansas City. Sound familiar? We’ve completed multiple projects  in the same development over the past few years.

The four-story building features floor-to-ceiling glass, a raised flooring system with under-floor air and three large exterior balconies featuring 25-foot high canopies lined with Brazilian hardwood. A five-level parking garage was also built next to the new facility to serve AMC associates and a future hotel.

As a major movie theatre chain, AMC’s headquarters wouldn’t be complete without the latest food and beverage products and movie seats. The unique office space includes a test kitchen to create new menu items, Coke “Freestyle” machines in the break rooms and two theater-style seating areas that will be used to test new seating options. The seating areas, which include large flat screen TVs, also serve as central circulation hubs and informal gathering spaces.

It was a pleasure to partner with AMC on this project and share our deep expertise in constructing their new home. This building is a great addition to the Park Place development and will serve AMC’s needs as they continually work to enhance the movie-going experience.
