I’m pleased to announce two high-profile projects have received Minnesota Safety and Health Achievement Recognition Program (MNSHARP) certifications for outstanding job site safety and health practices!
Oxbō Luxury Apartments in Saint Paul and
365 Nicollet Luxury Apartments in Minneapolis met the stringent requirements for the certification program, which is conferred by MNOSHA and the Minnesota Department of Labor and Industry. MNSHARP certifications recognize “companies whose managers and employees work together to develop safety and health programs that go beyond basic compliance with all applicable OSHA standards, and result in immediate and long-term prevention of job-related injuries and illnesses.”
We celebrated the Oxbō certification with a MNSHARP flag raising ceremony on the job site today. The certification for 365 Nicollet is a continued recognition of our previously-awarded MNSHARP certifications for our redevelopment work on Nicollet Mall. A flag raising ceremony was held on the
Xcel Energy @ 401 Nicollet site in 2015. The MNSHARP certificates and flags were officially presented at the events by representatives of MNOSHA and the Minnesota Department of Labor and Industry. We will receive additional recognition at the Governor’s Safety Award Luncheon in May 2017.
A testament of our unwavering commitment to job site safety, our list of MNSHARP certified projects continues to grow. Prior to these most recent projects, we received MNSHARP certifications for the first two parts of our redevelopment of Nicollet Mall (The Nic on Fifth® and Xcel Energy @ 401 Nicollet), and our team members received certifications for Excelsior Crossings and Medtronic Cardiac Rhythm Disease Management, which received the first-ever MNSHARP certification.
I’m proud of everyone’s efforts and of the safety culture we have at Opus. It’s that culture and those team members being recognized with these certifications. Having two projects recognized with MNSHARP certifications—one a recognition of continued work and the other a stand-alone project—is an honor.
