Award-Winning Construction Delivers Ambulatory Facility

Incorporating a modern, attractive design with efficient floor plates, the Cornell West Medical Office Building represents the next generation of office buildings. Located in the heart of the Sunset Corridor at the intersection of Highway 26 and Cornell Road, the area is the vibrant home to many of the Portland, Wash. metropolitan area’s premier corporations.

Customizing Solutions for Varied Tenant Needs

The winner of the Associated Builders & Contractors’ 2001 Excellence in Construction Award and finalist for the Oregon Concrete & Aggregate Producers Association 2001 Excellence in Concrete Award, Cornell West was the first three-story, concrete tilt-wall office building in the area. Featuring a distinctive design and bold exterior, Cornell West offers 120,000 square feet of office space and generous parking ratios.

Responding to needs of tenants, Opus provided unique solutions for the highly specialized equipment for the Body Imaging Radiology Clinic. An equipment access opening was created for immediate and future equipment installation that blended with the existing building features.

Home to a variety of outpatient clinics, the building's specialty improvements included lead lined walls for x-ray and CT equipment, structural steel uni-strut support systems for radiology and fluoroscopy equipment and a completely isolated, recessed RF-shielded room for MRI exam equipment. Specialty HVAC equipment and upgraded electrical systems were provided to meet the needs of this medical facility’s tenants.

This Class A medical office building provides convenient access to retail, restaurants, banks and hotels. Promoting wellness and healthy living, building amenities include men’s and women’s locker rooms with showers and bike parking.
