New Space for Additional Fellowship

With a need for additional space, the Saint Hubert Catholic Community turned to the Opus team to create an addition to its religious education facility located in Chanhassen, Minn. The addition consists of classrooms for the existing school, expansion of the parish and school offices, an adoration chapel and a fellowship hall.

Features of the 41,000-square-foot addition include:
  • a 7,500-square-foot fellowship hall with direct access to the existing kitchen,
  • an Adoration chapel directly adjacent to the existing sanctuary,
  • 18 new classrooms allowing for an additional class for grades kindergarten through eighth grade and
  • an expansion of the parish and school offices.
The fellowship hall was designed to function as an extension of the sanctuary by providing a space for the congregation to gather socially before and after worship services. The fellowship hall also includes an operable wall to divide the room into two areas with seating for up to 250 people in each area.

The exterior of the institutional facility features buff- and red-colored brick veneer, champagne-colored window frames, copper-colored trim and a cedar shake roof feature.
