Experience
Blake joined the industry in 2021 and joined our team in 2022 as a Project Intern.
Since joining Opus, Blake has had the opportunity to work on a wide variety of projects. His favorites include project managing and acting as part-time superintendent for a columbarium memorial at Normandale Lutheran Church in Edina, Minnesota, and also for a cafeteria remodel at Holy Angels in Richfield, Minnesota.
Blake excels at industrial projects. In addition to assisting with several warehouses, he’s currently working with team members to finish a precast building in Maple Grove, which includes managing the office buildout of over 160,000 square feet.
Among Blake's many attributes and skills are his resilient drive to achieve client goals and deliver results. On a recent renovation with tight deadlines, achieving the Certificate of Occupancy didn't seem plausible, however with dedication, patience and some creative problem solving, Blake worked to achieve the certificate on time, which allowed the client to meet their goals.
When working with business partners and clients, Blake prides himself on being trustworthy – it's his Golden Rule. If he says he'll do something, he'll make sure it happens. He says this stems from growing up around his grandfather, who was a homebuilder in Burnsville, Minnesota, and man of humility and integrity.
When away from the office, Blake enjoys weightlifting, playing pickleball and trying to get his old fishing boat to run.
