Tom Bailey

Manager, Architectural Technology

Responsibilities

  • Supports OAE management with early design activities including, but not limited to, creating marketing fit plans, attending project kick-off meetings, analyzing design fees, performing peer review of partner drawings, providing BOMA calculations and life safety/code analysis
  • Assists project managers and Opus architects with the preparation of responses to RFQ’s and RFP’s
  • Provide technical leadership through peer review of all design partner documentation
  • Assist design partners with quality assurance on all project efforts through the review of plans and specifications for completeness, accuracy, conformance with contracts and life safety/code requirements

Experience

Tom began his architectural career in 1992 and joined our team two years later.

He is responsible for early design activities, assisting design partners with technical leadership, demonstrating company values and interfacing with the internal and external teams as part of Opus Integrated Design Services.

Tom possesses a strong work ethic and his attention to detail is unparalleled. With considerable experience across multiple project types he ensures seamless coordination between all design partners. He fosters a positive working relationship with all team members, both internal and external, which facilitates effective collaboration and problem-solving throughout the project. His dedication to go the extra mile ensures that client expectations are met consistently.

When he’s not working Tom enjoys working on home improvement projects, watching sports, biking and hiking.
