Award-Winning Spotlight: TriZetto Worldwide Headquarters

3/31/2014

TriZetto’s worldwide headquarters, located in Englewood, Colo., recently won NAIOP Colorado’s 2013 Office Development of the Year. Last fall, the project also won 2013 Office Development of the Year at the Rocky Mountain Commercial Real Estate Expo and Fall Forecast.

The NAIOP Colorado Office Development of the Year award recognizes a project for its architecture, financial feasibility, enhancement of the community or neighborhood, innovative techniques and sustainability and contribution to the real estate industry and general community.

TriZetto’s worldwide headquarters required a fast-tracked delivery method, while still providing a unique building solution and the opportunity for future expansion. Over the course of the project, we developed a strong working relationship with TriZetto, working to meet their needs while maintaining budget and schedule. The result is a Class A suburban headquarters that provides TriZetto team members numerous collaboration spaces on each floor, floor-to-ceiling glass through the majority of the space and electronics charging stations for convenience.

TriZetto’s goal of an open, collaborative environment had to be balanced with both traditional and privacy-related security measures. These seemingly opposing objectives were achieved with a state-of-the-art access control system and video monitoring of strategic areas, along with the incorporation of ground-floor conference spaces and access to TriZetto’s Executive Briefing Center via the lobby. Additionally, the on floor break room areas were sized to specifically encourage TriZetto team members to travel to the garden-level cafeteria, furthering collaboration in a shared common space with direct access to additional outdoor seating.

All-hands meetings are a key component of TriZetto’s culture, so its new build-to-suit headquarters was designed to accommodate these meetings in a devisable, ballroom-style indoor meeting space, as well as designing the outdoor patio and balcony as an alternative meeting option.

Working collaboratively as a team, we were able to successfully meet TriZetto’s goals and vision for their new headquarters.
