[Video Case Study] Building a Solid Relationship with Andersen Corporation

“We undertook something that's really unprecedented for Andersen in our 117-year history, which is two major facility expansions at pretty much the same time. One focused on our Renewal by Andersen business, and one focused on our Andersen business," said Jay Lund, Chairman & Chief Executive Officer of Andersen Corporation. “What excites me most about these buildings is the prospect of actually producing material inside them. Because that's what these investments are all about. It's given us a platform to now focus on the next wave of growth in the business."

Andersen Windows Manufacturing – Goodyear, a 540,350-square-foot facility outside of Phoenix, was completed in December 2019. Renewal by Andersen's Value Add Center, a 340,000-square-foot expansion in Cottage Grove, Minn., followed in June 2020.

“We couldn't be more pleased with the outcome of these two projects," Lund continued. “They've been done on budget and on time. They're both state-of-the-art facilities, and Opus has just been an easy and great partner to work with at every stage through the process."

With demand increasing for their 100 series products in the western U.S., we helped Andersen increase capacity with the new Goodyear facility. This facility delivered many firsts:

  • Andersen's first branded facility in Arizona
  • their first build-to-suit in their 100-year history
  • their first building to facilitate the entire manufacturing process (assembly, storage and distribution) from start to finish

It was also our first project with Andersen, a relationship that continued with their Renewal by Andersen Value-Add Center in Cottage Grove, Minn.
