Giving: Opus Foundation Awards Over $1.9 Million in Impact Fund Grants
With a commitment to help build communities and support efforts that make them better places to live, work and raise families, the Opus Foundation recently awarded over $1.9 million in grants to deserving nonprofit organizations across the country.
The Opus Foundation is committed to improving conditions that disproportionately affect historically underinvested individuals and communities by resourcing collaborative partnerships focused on early childhood education, youth development, workforce development and community revitalization.
Recently, the Foundation supported the following organizations with Impact Fund grants totaling $1,923,567. Impact Fund grants are awarded semi-annually and designed to support strategic investments through a competitive grant process to strengthen our communities.
- Anawim Housing (Des Moines office) to strengthen housing and support systems
- Camp Fire Minnesota (Minneapolis office) to advance equity in environmental education
- Child Crisis Arizona (Phoenix office) to foster bright futures
- Colorado Coalition for the Homeless to support housing capital needs
- CommonBond Communities (Minneapolis office) to reimagine advantage services
- Construction Careers Foundation (Minneapolis office) to advance opportunities in the trades
- Denver Kids, Inc. (Denver office) to support the Community Engagement Partnership Program
- Dunwoody College of Technology (Minneapolis office) to support the Pathways to Careers program
- Great River Greening (Minneapolis office) to support the Future Stewards program
- Lake Street Council (Minneapolis office) to aid small businesses
- LINK Unlimited Scholars (Chicago office) to advance capacity building efforts
- New Pathways for Youth, Inc. (Phoenix office) to support the Level Up expansion
- PREP-KC (Kansas City office) to expand the skilled trades talent pipeline
- Project Iowa (Des Moines office) to foster the Rooted Model
- Starfish Initiative (Indianapolis office) to support the small group mentoring program
- University of St. Thomas (Minneapolis office) to support Opus Scholars, program, leadership and growth
Additionally, over the last 6 months, the Foundation has also awarded $229,000 with 27 Opportunity Fund grants. Opportunity Fund grants are awarded monthly and are designed to provide a quick response to needs and opportunities in our communities.
