Responsibilities
- Provides day-to-day jobsite management, including overseeing other field supervisory team members
- Maintains and reinforces safety programs on the project
- Monitors construction progress and activities to ensure the project progresses safely, meets schedule requirements and satisfies quality standards
- Verifies construction of the project conforms to governmental requirements and the project plans, specifications and contract requirements
- Promotes a culture that reflects the organization’s values and encourages positive performance
- Actively promotes and supports a diverse, equitable and inclusive work environment on projects
Experience
In the construction industry since 1979, Steve brought a wealth of experience to our team in 2021.
Steve works hard to ensure jobs are delivered on schedule and within budget. He believes there is nothing that can’t be handled or completed by working with subs and suppliers. Steve is able to work under pressure, has an eye for detail and skills in planning and problem solving.
When he first joined our team, Steve shared his deep expertise by moving between different jobsites helping new superintendents learn the job.
Steve tackled obstacles from the beginning of his time with us. His first project was WorldWide Logistics Headquarters (Urbandale, IA). Steve successfully navigated transitions in the team, onboarding a new team member, a late permit and building with a generator as electrical gear had a long lead time. The team worked hard to complete the project and connect with the client to keep them informed.
