Opus to Deliver Mission Critical Value Add for LabCorp in Overland Park
Amidst a strong Kansas City real estate market, Opus performed a value add building renovation in Overland Park, Kansas.
Opus purchased a 38,183-square-foot building from Laboratory Corporation of America Holdings (LabCorp), who had owned and occupied the building since 2015. LabCorp, a leading healthcare diagnostics company, moved back into the building when renovations were complete in early 2019. LapCorp operations in the facility include medical laboratory testing and services in association with a regional network of primary clinical laboratories and specialty testing laboratories.
The two-story building, originally built in the 1970s, underwent a significant renovation. Opus performed a building modernization to renovate and improve the interior and exterior tenant space over a six month period that meets mission critical lab needs. Improvements include:
