After a successful year in 2016, we anticipate another good year, including seeing a year-over-year increase in revenues. “We’ll continue to focus largely on apartments and distribution centers as our strongest markets. We see that there is some demand left in both of those markets, which is in line with the past year or so for us,” said Dave Bangasser, president & CEO of Opus Design Build, L.L.C. “As of right now, we have nearly 75% of our work in those two product types.”
One strategy for success in the current market is to leverage our expertise to complete complex and unique projects, such as 365 Nicollet, a 30-story, 369-unit luxury apartment building in downtown Minneapolis. We're also working on public-private partnership projects, including the country's first publicly-owned, green parking garage in Westminster, Colo. We worked very closely with the city to fully understand their needs and their vision for a redeveloped part of the city. “Opus brought in an exceptional team that has been forward thinking and identifying issues before they arise,” John Burke, P.E., Downtown Westminster development and construction manager said. “This design-build process is really indicative of our overall vision for the new downtown – thoughtful and deliberate, with our eye always on sustainability.
