With a continued focus on building community for a better tomorrow, the Opus Foundation recently closed another Impact Fund grant round, awarding $594,473 to 17 nonprofit organizations that support youth development, community revitalization and workforce development.
A skilled workforce is critical to meeting community and industry needs both today and in the future, which is why the Foundation is proud to support workforce development projects and programs that help educate and train underserved populations for skilled trades. In this recent grant round, we awarded $30,000 to Minneapolis-based CLUES, an organization that focuses on advancing the capacity of Latino families in the community, and Milwaukee-based LISC’s ACRE program, a multi-partner, industry-supported initiative that recruits and educates people of color for professional careers in commercial real estate in the Milwaukee area. Additionally, through June 2016, we awarded $192,000 in Opportunity Fund grants to 58 organizations. Ranging from $1,000 to $5,000, these grants are awarded monthly and are designed to provide a quick response to needs and opportunities in our communities.
The Opus Foundation supports projects and programs that make our communities better places to live, work and raise families through grants to nonprofit organizations in the areas of early childhood education, youth development, workforce development and community revitalization.
