Experience
Phil’s commercial real estate career began in 2004 when he joined Opus as an Associate Project Manager after serving five years in the United States Army as a Platoon Leader and Company Executive Officer. He left Opus temporarily in 2006 to serve another 18 months as a Company Commander in the Army and returned in 2008 as a Project Manager. In 2013, Phil pivoted his career to a Senior Manager role within the Opus real estate development team, where his work was recognized and rewarded with multiple subsequent promotions within the development team, each with increasing responsibility, up to Senior Vice President & General Manager. Most recently, Phil was Executive Vice President of Commercial Development for United Properties.
Phil is a strategic and driven business leader with a passion for solving challenges and empowering teammates to create effective outcomes for all involved. His unique combination of skills, expertise, vision, leadership and experience within Opus collectively make him well suited to deliver success within his role.
During his years with Opus, Phil has completed more than seven million square feet of industrial, office and retail projects valued at over $500 million with high-profile clients including Xcel Energy, Medtronic, Andersen Corporation and AmerisourceBergen; and developed over 400 market-rate apartment units, 400,000 square feet of office space and more than three million square feet of industrial space.
