Winfield United Enlists Opus to Deliver Build-to-Suit Distribution Center in Wichita Falls, Texas
Opus helped WinField United consolidate operations from six facilities into a single, optimized distribution center at 2850 East Midwestern Parkway in Wichita Falls, Texas.
WinField United is the seed and agricultural services business of Land O'Lakes. They chose Wichita Falls because of their 70-year history in the community. The facility serves the company's clients throughout Texas and Oklahoma.
This build-to-suit is situated on 14.7 acres and is part of Wichita Falls Business Park, a 525-acre master planned development owned by the City of Wichita Falls. The City has invested $10 million in infrastructure upgrades to encourage and attract light-to-medium industrial and high-tech users to the area. Less than a minute from US Highways 281 and 287, the location also offers a strong workforce population and many local area amenities.
Opus' fully integrated in-house expertise and unique design-build model assured WinField United the benefits of a client-centered, efficient and effective design-build process.
