The Opus Group (Opus) is pleased to announce the recent promotion of
Pete Conlon to vice president, capital markets. As vice president, he will continue to manage and grow Opus' equity platform, while working closely with development teams to structure joint venture partnerships for their projects throughout the U.S.
“Since joining the company in 2015, Pete has consistently been an outstanding performer and leader across the real estate development team and the broader organization," said Dave Menke, president and CEO of development at Opus. “Pete's role is essential for Opus to foster key relationships with institutional investors and he has been instrumental in overseeing the structuring of 35 joint ventures for projects in excess of $1.6 billion during his time with the company."
Conlon serves as the single point of contact for Opus' equity partners while collaborating with developers in each office and external partners to successfully structure financing for each project.
Conlon has established partnerships with equity partners across a diverse portfolio of product types for Opus including multi-family, senior living, industrial, office and student living projects. He will continue growing Opus' capital markets capabilities and managing complex transactions that align with the company's robust pipeline and strategic initiatives.
Prior to Opus, Conlon worked in corporate real estate for Target Corporation, real estate investment management with Buchanan Street Partners and commercial brokerage with Cassidy Turley.
Conlon holds a master's degree in real estate finance from New York University and bachelor's degree in economics from the University of California, Davis. He is a member of the Urban Land Institute and NAIOP.
