We're so excited to announce that our very own CEO & President, Tim Murnane, has received the NAIOP Minnesota 2023 President's Award!
Tim was nominated by NAIOP Minnesota members for the chapter's highest individual honor. The award is based on commitment to the industry and extraordinary service to the organization and the community.
Tim joined Team Opus in 1984. As a developer he delivered many notable projects, including the Shoppes at Arbor Lakes, the first upscale lifestyle center in the Minneapolis-Saint Paul metro area; the 30-story American Express Financial Advisors in downtown Minneapolis and the 1.6 million-square-foot Best Buy Corporate Headquarters in Richfield, Minn. He took on the role of President & CEO in 2010 and leads all of the companies that comprise The Opus Group.
"Tim is a leader within NAIOP, embodying the core principles of the President's Award. His remarkable contributions to the commercial real estate community and NAIOP warrant this well-deserved recognition," said NAIOP President Jim Hoopes, NAIOP Minnesota President and Chief Lending Officer at United Financials Capital, LLC.
Tim has been a NAIOP member for more than 30 years and has served as president and board member of the chapter and has served as a mentor and shared his extensive expertise as a speaker at numerous chapter programs. Tim has served the community on many boards, including the Minnesota Chamber of Commerce, Twin Cities RISE!, Minneapolis Downtown Council, the University of St. Thomas Real Estate Program Advisory Board, the Minnesota Business Partnership Board, the Urban Land Institute Advisory Board and the St. Thomas Academy Board.
Despite his many accomplishments and contributions, Tim redirects the praise to all of Team Opus, thanking them for their hard work and dedication to our mission and values.
