News Release: Brenda Studt Joins Opus’ Austin Office as Director of Real Estate Development

AUSTIN, TX – August 21, 2025 – Opus today announced that Brenda Studt has joined the company’s Austin, Texas, office as director of real estate development. Minneapolis-based Opus opened its Austin office in March 2024 in response to the market’s sustained growth and strong potential in the multifamily and industrial sectors.

Studt is a seasoned commercial real estate leader with more than 20 years of development and marketing experience. Most recently, she was development director with United Properties’ Austin office. During her five years there, she developed more than 850,000 square feet of industrial real estate and more than 500 multifamily units.

In her new role, Studt works with Dustin Slack, Opus’ Austin-based vice president and general manager of development, and is responsible for helping to establish a strong local presence by sourcing and pursuing industrial and multifamily development opportunities and advancing high-potential projects that align with regional demand, economic indicators, and long-term organizational goals.

“Over the last year, the Austin market has proven to be a viable market for Opus to make a name for itself in developing high-quality, in-demand industrial and multifamily properties,” said Slack. “The time is right to grow our team here as we start to get projects off the ground. Studt earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Minnesota State University, Mankato. She is past-president and a current board member of NAIOP’s Austin chapter.
