Responsibilities
- Directs and coordinates the acquisition, development, leasing and marketing and obtains necessary jurisdictional permits and approvals for projects across multiple sectors
- Leverages product-type expertise to provide input on real estate development and acquisition business strategy and implements strategy
- Performs market, site feasibility and end-use analysis and coordinates due diligence and financial pro-forma modeling and analysis collaboratively with design-build, architecture and engineering associates
- Works and negotiates with brokers, clients, communities and other stakeholders to create the right
- product for the market
- Coordinates and monitors design, project management and construction activities, including project
- schedules and budgets, and regularly visits project site
- Directs and coordinates the lease and sale of space within existing and proposed developments
- Maintains current market knowledge through assembly and analyses of market data and anticipates future trends likely to impact the organization
Experience
Jamie joined the real estate industry in 2017. Before joining our team in 2021, he gained valuable experience at a real estate investment firm with a national portfolio of government-leased properties. This role allowed him the opportunity to become familiar with GSA lease negotiations and specialized office buildout requirements, which have proven helpful in his current role.
Jamie’s focus areas include multifamily, industrial and land development. His portfolio includes the development of 700 apartments units and nearly 400,000 square feet of industrial space.
Leveraging his experience and strong problem-solving skills, Jamie has successfully secured and implemented Government Property Lease Excise Tax (GPLET) incentives on his development projects, adding nearly $20 million in value.
Through land-pricing analysis and broker relationships, Jamie identified Casa Grande, AZ, early on as a prime location for speculative and build-to-suit industrial development. As a result, we now control nearly 400 acres in Casa Grande.
Jamie's direct project experience spans industrial, multifamily and GSA and federal security tenants. Highlights of his projects with us include Melody on Main (Mesa, Arizona), Ari on Fourth (Tucson, AZ) and The Confluence (Casa Grande, AZ).
When away from the office, Jamie enjoys exploring Arizona, reading and golfing.
