The Opus Group® Delivers Goodyear Airport Industrial in Goodyear, Arizona

The Opus Group (Opus) announced today the completion of Goodyear Airport Industrial, a 450,619-square-foot speculative industrial development situated on 29.2 acres in Goodyear, Arizona, adjacent to the Phoenix Goodyear Airport, and two miles south of Interstate 10. Leveraging its relationships with city officials and other business partners in the area, Opus marks its eighth project completion in the Phoenix market over the last few years.

“We’ve worked alongside the city of Goodyear for years, deepening our relationship to efficiently accommodate industrial users that desire to operate their business in this fast growing area,” said Sean Cummings, vice president of real estate development at Opus. “We’re excited to deliver the only speculative building constructed in Goodyear in recent years with direct access to the Union Pacific Railroad.”

Situated on a previously vacant property, Opus constructed this state-of-the-art facility with 36-foot clear height, 2% skylights, 255 vehicle parking spaces, 73 dock doors, four grade-level doors, 83 trailer stalls and 190’ of fully secured truck court space. The development will attract tenants from diverse industries such as high-tech manufacturing, e-commerce, light assembly and other related sectors that will bring an influx of job opportunities to the area.

“Opus was able to deliver this project on schedule while mitigating supplemental development costs, which is a remarkable achievement in this current environment,” said Larry Pobuda, executive vice president and general manager at Opus. “The pandemic presented this development with unique challenges, but because of our expertise and tight collaboration, our timeline was not impacted.”

Goodyear Airport Industrial will provide tenants with convenient access to major transportation routes, including I-10 and MC-85.

Opus was the developer, design-builder, interior designer and architect and structural engineer of record. John Werstler and Cooper Fratt from CBRE are marketing the project for lease.
