BAE Systems new facility includes dedicated engineering lab spaces, a collaborative product design center and a full-service prototyping product development lab. It operates exclusively on electricity, incorporates photosensors that harvest daylight to automatically adjust artificial lights based on natural light and it provides electric vehicle charging stations.

Additional facility features include:

• an 8,800-square-foot bay with a 65-foot clear height and thickened concrete slabs to accommodate three 30-ton overhead cranes, each with a 60-foot hook height
• a 2,100-square-foot 3D Extended Reality (XRL) simulation room
• 153,000 square feet of office space with seating for more than 500 employees and four unique collaboration spaces, including a 1,900-square-foot Town Hall that overlooks the lobby
• a water runoff treatment system to protect the wetlands that surround the facility, which feed area lakes and streams and are a critical habitat for biodiversity
• a walking trail that encompasses the entire site and provides employees with an opportunity to engage with nature
