Opus and Greco Join Forces to Bring Vibrant Retail & Luxury Living to the North Loop in Minneapolis

Bounding with activity, the North Loop on downtown Minneapolis’s north side is one of the most popular spots in the Midwest. Amidst tastefully restored warehouses, lively breweries and chic boutiques, the North Loop offers a dynamic food, shopping and entertainment scene, qualifying it to make Fodor Travel’s 2016 Go List as one of the top 25 destinations to visit in the world.

In addition to drawing visitors, the North Loop has become an incredibly popular place to live for trendy urban dwellers. With vested interest in continuing to revive the area and building off success of Opus’ VÉLO®, Opus Development Company, L.L.C. and Greco are joining forces to design, construct and manage Variant, a first-class, mixed-use apartment and retail development in the heart of the neighborhood.

A new market rate living experience unlike any other in the North Loop, the six-story building will feature 144 luxury apartments atop 14,000 square-feet of vibrant ground-level retail space. With 24/7 concierge services, tenants will enjoy an abundance of high-end amenities such as a second-level outdoor pool and bar, grilling areas and a wood burning fireplace. With picturesque views of downtown Minneapolis, a sixth-floor rooftop terrace will include a grilling area, outdoor bar and fire pit. There will also be two-levels of underground parking, a fitness center, dog wash and bike storage.

In addition to this North Loop development, Opus and Greco are currently working together on plans to transform a site in Saint Paul into a hotel and mixed-use development project.

Completion for Variant is scheduled for late 2017.
