News Release: Project Growth in Colorado Prompts Opus Promotions in Denver Office
Growing project activity across Colorado is creating new opportunities for Opus and expanded leadership roles for three experienced members of our Denver team.
DENVER, September 3, 2026 – Opus today announced the promotions of three associates in their Denver office as the company continues to expand their presence and capabilities across Colorado and the western United States. Eric Chamberlin was promoted to the newly created position of vice president and general manager of real estate development. Jaymes Kralicek and Nick Lauters were each promoted to vice president of construction.
Opus is a national leader in commercial real estate development and construction with nine offices and projects across the country. The promotions support the company's strategic plan, announced in 2025, which prioritizes continued geographic expansion, and reflect strong demand for Opus' development and construction capabilities across Colorado and the western United States.
“Our growth across the West is creating opportunities to take on larger and increasingly complex projects, and we have an exceptionally capable team in Denver to support that momentum,” said Larry Pobuda, executive vice president of real estate development with Opus. “Eric, Jaymes and Nick each bring distinct strengths and extensive experience to their new roles, but they also share a deep understanding of how to work collaboratively across our development and construction teams to deliver successful outcomes. These promotions position us to build on the strong foundation we have established in Denver and to continue expanding our presence throughout the region.”
Chamberlin, who holds a degree in economics from the University of Colorado and a law degree from the University of Denver, has nearly 20 years of industry experience. He joined Opus in 2020 and has contributed to numerous high-profile industrial and multifamily projects, including Forge at Peak Innovation Park, the company's first project in Colorado Springs; The Bellwether; Sun Empire; and Kalaco. In his new role, Chamberlin provides leadership for Opus' Denver-based development teams and oversee all Colorado operations.
"Colorado is a strong development market, and Opus is actively engaged in multiple product types. We have a talented and experienced team in Denver with deep development and design-build experience, and I'm excited about the opportunities ahead as we build on our current momentum,” said Chamberlin.
Kralicek has 17 years of industry experience and has completed more than 1.7 million square feet of industrial and multifamily space, including 839 multifamily units. He joined Opus in 2016 and has led projects including 1919 Mile High, The Bellwether and Catalyst Industrial.
Lauters, who joined Opus in 2006, has 20 years of construction experience and has completed more than 1.6 million square feet of industrial and multifamily space across Arizona and Colorado. He has played a key role on projects including Envision 56, Catalyst Industrial and Kalaco.
The Denver promotions are part of continued growth across Opus' western operations. The company also promoted Kevin Curley to vice president and general manager of real estate development in their Phoenix office. Together, these leadership changes strengthen Opus's ability to pursue opportunities in two of the company's key western markets as population growth and expansion in industries including advanced manufacturing and technology continue to create demand for new commercial real estate.
