Luther College Aquatic Center

This 18,000-square-foot facility is home to an eight-lane, 25-yard competition pool and a 13-foot-deep diving well with one- and three-meter springboards—all built to meet LEED certification. With a state-of-the-art timing system, a large LED scoreboard and space for 280 spectators, the modern facility supports Luther College's nationally-ranked swimming and diving programs, and their institutional mission.

Maximizing the benefit to the community, the pool includes a shallow area that is used for swimming lessons and classes such as water aerobics, allowing Luther College to offer more programs for the Decorah community.

Through a strong partnership, the state-of-the-art facility was delivered on budget and completed in just one year, whereas many similar facilities take a year and a half to complete.
