MINNEAPOLIS – The Opus Group (Opus) announced today a contract with TCF Financial Corporation (TCF) for improvements and renovations on an approximately 400,000-square-foot space within the Plymouth Corporate Center in Plymouth, Minnesota.

We’re pleased TCF selected Opus early in the design process, as our integrated project delivery method will complement critical aspects of the work.”
Located near the intersection of I-494 and County Road 6, TCF’s new facility will be the primary office location for approximately 1,700 employees. The move will consolidate much of TCF’s business operations from locations in downtown Minneapolis, downtown St. Paul, and the surrounding Twin Cities metro area.
Planned building improvements for TCF include converting existing warehouse and office space into an open floor plan with contemporary design in the Plymouth Corporate Center. Leveraging best-in-class work space planning and design principles, the team worked to develop a space layout that will organize TCF’s departments and operations to maximize efficiency and collaboration while addressing the unique requirements of a financial services company.

Opus will complete phase one renovations, of the two-phase project, in mid-July. TCF will begin relocating its team members to the renovated space in August 2015.
