Building Information Modeling (BIM) uses software as a platform for virtual building design and documentation while also serving as an information hub.

BIM has powerful benefits including:

  •  a vast database of information about building materials that allows for accurate cost estimating early in the design process;
  • clash detection and constructability evaluation, executed with the knowledge of our integrated design-build team and our subcontractors’ models, and
  • virtual buildings that enable us to review construction sequencing scenarios,  study different materials,  and quickly evaluate design options to facilitate informed decision making and ensure client satisfaction.

Since implementing BIM in 2006, we have completed more than 96 projects, totaling more than 12 million square feet and $1.6 billion.

The BIM process allows us to work more efficiently and deliver maximum value for projects from the earliest conceptual stages, through design and construction. It is another way we collaborate internally with our full design-build team. BIM serves as a natural progression of the design-build process as the primary motive of both is to bring design, development, project management and construction together early in the project and capitalize on the expertise of the individual members.
