The Opus Group announced today the completion of
Seven07, a new student living community situated near the campus of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. The 14-story building includes 218 units with 548 bedrooms, offering a range of options from junior studios to four-bedroom units. Students moved into the residence prior to the start of the fall semester.

Located on the northwest corner of John and 4th Streets, the project is the largest student housing option offering tenants convenient access to the university and nearby nightlife. The building was designed with an emphasis on community living and includes a plethora of shared spaces and enhanced amenities, such as a fitness center, indoor basketball court, spa, group and private study areas, lounge and a cafe. The fourth floor clubroom has TV's, pin ball machines, a shuffle board table and ping pong table. The fourth floor outdoor space offers a pool, barbeque grills and ample seating.
Every unit features high-end finishes, including simulated wood flooring in the kitchens and living rooms, carpeted bedrooms, stainless steel appliances, quartz countertops and in-unit washers and dryers. Leasing for the next academic school year is already underway.
This project was a joint venture between Opus and The Carlyle Group. Opus was the developer, design-builder and architect and structural engineer of record. Creative License International was the interior designer. Asset Living will manage the property, and SunTrust Commercial Real Estate provided financing for the project.
