The Opus Group (Opus) announced today the start of construction on the second building at 56 Commerce Center, a master-planned industrial development in the city of Olathe. Construction of the 230,122-square-foot speculative industrial building follows the successful completion and sale of the first building to Orizon, a manufacturer of complex subassemblies for the aerospace and defense industry.

To continue meeting accelerating demand across the market, the second building of 56 Commerce Center was designed with flexibility in mind to accommodate a variety of tenants. The second building boasts a 32-foot clear height, a front parking lot and a rear truck court with a potential for up to 35 stalls. Additionally, the location of the building offers access to major interstates, including Interstate-35, I-435 and I-49. The project is slated for completion in May 2018.
The start of construction of the second building marks the second phase of an Opus master-planned industrial development for the site. The full 56 Commerce Center is located on 53 acres of land and can house up to three buildings totaling 505,000 square feet.
