After leading Bunge through a comprehensive campus design-build solution, Opus has teamed with the company to deliver their corporate headquarters in Chesterfield, Missouri. Opus is custom designing the four-story, 149,600-square-foot office space exactly to the company’s requirements.
The new headquarters design supports a key priority for Bunge, which is to enhance the company’s employee culture during a transformative period of growth. The building design includes an open floor plan that will help to facilitate and support employee collaboration, innovation and communication. It will feature contemporary and modern aesthetic elements throughout, as well as a 3,600-square-foot indoor fitness center, cafeteria, game room, conference rooms and a training center. Located on 14 acres of land, the new headquarters site will also include roughly seven acres of green space, including an outdoor walking track around the perimeter of the landscaped site.
An agribusiness and food ingredient company, an integral component of Bunge North America’s day-to-day operations is trading. The Opus design includes a column-free, dedicated trading floor with 16-foot ceilings specifically designed to foster a high-energy space with unobstructed views for traders. It also features natural light with clear sightlines to the outdoors and an outdoor balcony accessible from the trading floor area.
Designed to achieve LEED certification, the new Bunge North America headquarters building will include sustainable elements throughout.
With this project, Opus is building on its deep corporate headquarters work. Completion is scheduled for October 2017.
