As Senior Project Architect, Tom develops projects from schematic design through construction administration. His attention to detail and knowledge of building science and construction translates into successful documentation and delivery of projects. Tom also provides leadership for Opus’ internal and external sustainable design initiatives. He is a resource for sustainable building strategies developing best practices, studies and documentation of building performance standards for Opus’ extensive line of projects. Tom supports all design-build team members to deliver projects on time and on budget.
Previously, Tom worked at Wentworth Studio, a boutique residential design-build firm in Chevy Chase, Md. His interest in the commercial sector and in real estate development led him to Opus.
Tom holds a Master of Architecture with a Real Estate Development concentration from Catholic University of America, a Master of Science in Sustainable Design from Catholic University of America and a Bachelor of Design in Architecture from the University of Minnesota. He is a member of the American Institute of Architects and the USGBC Minnesota Leadership Advisory Board.
