As Senior Director of Real Estate Development, Joe is responsible for commercial development in the Midwest market with a focus on industrial, office and retail projects.
He manages all facets of the development practice including sourcing and pursuit of new development opportunities; land acquisition; project feasibility; obtaining entitlements; design and construction coordination; and oversight of the marketing, leasing and sale of each project.
Joe has been actively involved in the commercial real estate industry since 2006, joining Opus in 2015. Prior to joining Opus, Joe worked for a boutique development and investment firm where he was responsible for a portfolio of retail properties comprising over one million square feet. He also has experience working in the real estate group of a Fortune 50 company and with a multifamily developer.

Joe holds a Masters of Business Administration in Real Estate & Urban Land Economics from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a Bachelor of Science in Finance and Real Estate from the University of St. Thomas. He is a member of the Minnesota Shopping Center Association (MSCA), Minnesota Commercial Association of Realtors (MNCAR), Wisconsin Real Estate Alumni Association (WREAA) and NAIOP, the Commercial Real Estate
